I lose all the respect for one of the dads I see almost everyday on the way to school. This dad has a daughter, possibly only eight or nine.
This dad rides a bike, his daughter sits behind him, holding onto him real tight.
His daughter is pretty, she 's got a really nice smile.
I don't like this dad.
He puts on his helmet, but his daughter doesn't have a helmet.
I don't understand how in the world can he remember his own helmet and yet his daughter has no helmet?
It's the very minimum security you have to have when you ride a bike.
Especially if you speed.
And this dad speeds.
Everyone out there,
If you're a dad, or a mom,
Or if you're going to be one someday,
Don't forget to make sure your kids have helmets on.
Or if you have a car, then make them buckle their seatbelts.
And don't speed, don't ever speed.
You don't want to regret when it's too late.
